Jagannath Dham, Digha
Inaugurated in April 2025, the Jagannath Dham at Digha is a magnificent new temple complex dedicated to Lord Jagannath, built as a grand tribute to the iconic Jagannath Temple of Puri.
The deities Jagannath, Balarama, and Subhadra are enshrined here in a setting of striking Kalinga-style architecture, and the aarti ceremonies draw large numbers of devotees and visitors from across the region. It has quickly become one of the most significant spiritual landmarks along the entire Bengal coast.

Chandaneshwar Shiv Temple
Just across the Odisha border near Balasore, the Chandaneshwar Shiv Temple is a revered pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva, surrounded by a sacred pond and smaller shrines to Jagannath, Radha-Krishna, and other deities.
The temple draws large crowds during Maha Shivaratri, when the entire area comes alive with festive energy, but it is a place of calm devotion at any time of year. The scenic drive through the countryside to reach it is a pleasant part of the outing.
